An Old Rare Authentic 1930's Russian Soviet Propaganda Piggy Bank with CCCP Coat of Arms 6 Bands - Republics. Issued by the State Savings Bank of the Soviet union in early 1930's in order to promote bank savings accounts. The center cartouch shows USSR coat of arms (with only six bands, this particular design was in use only between 1923 and 1936) and inscription: "State Worker's Savings Bank". On the top inscription: "Save every available kopek (Russian cent) to your saving book".
H=3 1/4" (8.5 cm). Diameter: 2 3/4" ( 7 cm).
Made in USSR of nickel-plated heavy metal alloy. Very nice work and extremely rare item.
The serious collectors know that Soviet Union Coat of Arms had 6 Republics - Bands during a short time from creation in 1922 till Constitution of 1936.
