An Extremely Rare and Very Nice Wall Hanging Rushnik with Folk Scene writing and signature. This is Hand-made embroidered homespun linen rushnik. Inscription: "Year 1926. Month Nov. Here is that well (caisson) where dove was swimming, Here is that girl I was in love".
Measures: 7' 2" x 19" (220 x 50 cm).
Made in Ukraine in 1926. Good condition - see photo for all details.
Before revolution this kind of 'Rushnyk' (tapestry) was made in Ukraine to decorate Icons.
