The Chief of Chukotka (Nachalnik Chukotki) is a 1966 Soviet adventure comedy by Vitali Melnikov. The story takes place in 1922 on the far North-East of Russia. Young Red commissar Alexei (Mikhail Kononov) is sent to the Chukotka Peninsula to establish the Soviet power in this snow-covered land.
