A Nice and Rare Old Authentic Russian Soviet Metal PLAQUE from DOSAAF School.
Inscription: "Assistants' Lounge" (Staff room).
Dimensions: 11" x 4 3/4" (27.5 x 11.5 cm).
Made in USSR circa 1960 of the thick metal sheet. Very nice and rare item. This Plaque was taken from DOSAAF school after Soviet Union disintegration.

DOSAAF  - Voluntary Society of Assistance to the Army, the Air Force and the Navy. It was the name of a paramilitary society of the Soviet Union. The goal of the society was preparation of reserves for armed forces. It was a powerful militarized organization, with its own aerodromes, radio clubs, parachute towers and firing ranges.
