An Old Authentic Russian Propaganda BRONZE Commemorative Medal with the Famous Krasnodon Monument "Executed Komsomol Members".
Insription: "Krasnodon - is the motherland of the "Molodaya Gvardiya".
Diameter: 2 1/4" (5.5 cm).
Made in USSR circa 1960 of bronze. Vintage condition, need some cleaning – see photo for all details.
Krasnodon is the town in Donbass. The underground Komsomol organization 'Molodaya Gvardiya' (Young Guard) based in the town during WW2. The Fascists found this organization and all the members were executed – Gestapo dropped them alive into the old mine.
