An Old Rare Authentic 1930's Russian Soviet Propaganda Piggy Bank with CCCP Coat of Arms 6 Bands - Republics. Issued by the State Savings Bank of the Soviet union in early 1930's in order to promote bank savings accounts. The center cartouch shows USSR coat of arms (with only six bands, this particular design was in use only between 1922 and 1936) and inscription: "State Worker's Savings Bank is purse and teller of the worker ,"On the backside inscription: "Save every available kopek (Russian cent) to your saving book".
Dimensions: 4" x 3" x 2" ( 10 x 7.5 x 5 cm).
Very nice work and extremely rare item. Made in USSR of nickel-plated heavy metal alloy looks like brass. Good condition, there is no key - see photo for all details.
The serious collectors know that Soviet Union Coat of Arms had 6 Republics - Bands during a short time from creation in 1922 till Constitution of 1936.
